Research and Development working group

Research and development play a central role in the expansion of renewable energies. Technologies are to be advanced consistently so as to further strengthen efficiency and competitiveness. This working group acts as an interface between application and research by providing a platform to enable experts to share views and discuss new developments. Innovative projects are to be generated and promoted by formulating research concerns and bringing experts together.

Media and Renewable Energies working group

Communication experts and officers from companies and institutions meet in this working group to share ideas with a view to strengthening and taking forward the concept of renewable energies. In doing so, they cover social media aspects and also deal with the presence of the subject in the classical print media. By looking into examples of best practice, joint public relations strategies are to be developed for the cluster and for the bolstering of the metropolitan region in the media and renewable energies sector.

Financial and Legal Services working group

This working group networks financial, legal and insurance experts to discuss specific issues and problems of renewable energies from a theoretical and a practical viewpoint and to draw up solution proposals. By preparing standards and guidelines in these areas the working group aims to strengthen Hamburg as a service industry centre and provides a special service for interested parties.

Personnel and Qualification working group

Personnel recruitment and training is a crucial factor in the further expansion of the renewable energies industry. Not only engineers and project planners but also specialists in the entire value chain such as service and logistics staff are sought.

This working group discusses solution strategies for fulfilling future personnel requirements and also considers short-term measures such as further education, qualification and recruitment to meet personnel demand. Along with involving companies, the main focus and aspect for the working group’s success will be on cooperation with universities, educational institutions and politics.
